2014 Sauder Village Quilt Show, Part Five

Still more quilts from the Sauder show!  I have the pattern for this quilt and it always cracks me up to see it at a show...

Sorry the label is fuzzy on this won first place in the Wall Quilts: Mixed Techniques and Hand Quilted category.

My eyes perked up at this one...with my science background, I am always tickled pink to see a quilt with a science theme...

I have the pattern for this cute Halloween quilt (so do YOU, Ola...).  Let's get together and make this quilt!

I liked "OHIO" quilted into the border...

This won first place in the Bed Quilts: Small Pieced and Machine Quilted category.  It caught my eye...great use of color and I loved the flying geese border.  I'm sure it appealed to all the Ohio State fans...

Love that hand quilting...such a classy, elegant quilt...

I love the colorful dresden plate ring medallion in this quilt!

I always love seeing quilts made from Blackbird Designs patterns...

My friend Mary made this quilt...I love all the embroidery sprinkled in with the pieced blocks, and the fabric line is so cool!

I love this blue quilt!

This won the special ribbon for color usage.

I love this quilt!  It was made by my friend Cheryl Grajewski and quilted by another friend, Marilyn Lange.  It is beautifully pieced, has such a pleasant palette, and the original design is so nicely balanced.  Marilyn's brilliant machine quilting really brings it all together.  It's a blue-ribbon winner in my mind.  There are so many nice quilts in this category - it makes hard work for the judges!

I love pink and brown quilts like this...I have the pattern and tissue foundations somewhere in the quilt is on my bucket list.

This was the other Judge's Choice photo of the tag was way too fuzzy to post.  It is called "Ribbon Medallion" and was made by Arlene Garmatter of Bluffton, OH.  If I remember correctly, all the ribbons are from showing cows, and the cow fabric in the background is such a clever setting. Very clever!

Again, another fuzzy tag...this is called "Dear Cindy" and was made by Cindy Lewis of Toledo, OH. It won the special ribbon for Best Traditional Quilt.

I hope you enjoyed today's installment of the show!
